Final gandhi question
Gandhi has most definitely lived by the quote stated at the end of the movie. For example, he had lived by his quote by fasting. This was to peacefully protest against the fighting between Hindus and Muslims in India. Another example of him living by this quote is when he and several other Indians had marched, with Gandhi, for salt. The main reason for the salt march was to go against the British salt monopoly in India. Because of Gandhi, he had helped greatly in the making of India's independence.
The fasting of Gandhi was mainly to protest peacefully against the fighting in India between Hindus and Muslims. The result of his fasting was sympathy and Congress publicizing Gandhi's fasting. Gandhi has actually fasted 5 different times. One of them was for example the fast to stop the fighting between Hindus and Muslims as stated before. Another one of his fasts was in 1932 to stop the voting for separate political representations for the Dalits. When he fasted, he had always successful and got what he had wanted.
Gandhi's salt march was successful, but not in the way which was intended. Instead of a reduction of price in salt, Gandhi was arrested. Even though Gandhi was arrested, his march had inspired people such as Martin Luther King Jr. . As like all of Gandhi's protests, the Salt March was non-violent. With everything Gandhi has done, it has inspired many and has helped India gain its independence.

Pop culture: American Idol vs Indian Idol
American Idol and Indian Idol, are shows that have people who can sing (or not) come to various places and are judged on their singing performance. If you win American or Indian Idol, you would receive a recording contract and the title of the season's American Idol. As you can tell by the titles of the shows, American Idol is in the United States of America, and Indian Idol is in India. American Idol and Indian Idol are nearly identical, but the only differences are that the 2 shows are in different areas, and there are different celebrities judging and hosting. But the main idea and concept of each show is the same, which is to show your singing talent, and win a recording contract.
